I think you have the best one for heavy. Except maybe the lord's mail for the curaiss. But I haven't gotten to the dragonbone curaiss yet this game. Then there are daedric boots floating around somewhere.

As I always say, you'll need to define "best" first!

The armour set you describe sounds like a good combination of high AR with a few useful enchantments. Most of my characters end up travelling light, for the most part - glass armour, and few pieces of heavily-enchanted Daedric gives you space for a few big enchantments yet not weighing you down too much.

Since AR doesn't matter at all after a certain point I just dress for looks.

Currently, my Dark Elf looks pretty good in a Dreugh breastplate, bone-mold shoulder pauldrons (the spiky style used by Hlaalu of course), bone-mold greaves and boots, and orc bracers. Never a helmet except when it's raining.

My assassin wears the dark brotherhood armor with glass shoulders.

I'm prone to switching style around... I have mannequins with different outfits in my house depending one what armor skill I want to work on and what mood I'm in for walking around.

My Khajit thief/assassin doesn't wear any armor at all.

Between the Thief birthsign, unarmored dodge bonus (mod), and Sanctuary enchanted clothing, she's pretty tough to hit.

And Shield enchanted clothing keeps her AR at respectable levels.

That's true. When unarmored gets high enough, armor actually lowers your AR.
