Ive played gothic many times but got a newer
machine and when i installed gothic i got this
install shield problem. Gothis completely installed
to 100% then it asked for the first disc again and
when i put it in and hit continue it gave me
ikernal.exe could not copy to a program file
and i havent seen this problem on your board yet.
So i wondered if it was just my machine. Its a
pentIII 2000 processor speed. The game boots
up fine but usually shuts itself down after about
45 minutes. Any suggestions? _________________ Always fun to be killing something. |

a) A P3-2000 does not exist. You have something else.
b) The crash can be everything. A program bug, heat problems, bad power supply, cheap RAM, incompatible drivers, ... _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

I was wrong of course this is an amd mmx 3dnow ~1ghz.
I was told it was a 2.o speed but who knows. Anyway i
tried the game on another computer that was slower and
it loaded up perfectly and ran fine.
Im thinking it could be my 9.0directx that i downloaded that
could be the problem. If nothing else ill just reformat the HD
and hope that fixes it because its a fun game to play unless you
have any better suggestions. Thanks for the fast reply _________________ Always fun to be killing something. |
