Icewind dale and Baldurs gate 2 expansions |

I wonder if we need our save games from the original games to play these ones. I had those on a CD-RW...but it seems that i erased them. Is it possible to make a new party just for the expansions? |

It's possible with the BG2 expansion. I'm not sure with IWD. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Yes, you can start IWD Heart of Winter with pre-made characters. Although then you will have no access to the main game, after you completed the quest in the expansion. _________________ - Druids do not fight with metal weapons! Sit here, and you over here. It has been along time since I read about IWD, so I went back and found the FAQ for the Heart of Winter. Sounds like you should be able to just play the expansion.
"Q: Can I just play Heart of Winter without playing Icewind Dale? A: Absolutely. You can either generate some brand-new characters of your own, or you can choose from pre-generated party members available in the expansion. " ( http://www.interplay.com/icewind/info.html )
Enjoy,

Sure Otherwise it would be impossible to win the smallest fight there. However, IMO, it's more interesting to play HoW from within the main game. I walked through IWD 2 times - first time w/o HoW, second with HoW and Trials of Luremaster. BTW - if you're playing HoW, don't forget to install Trials of Luremaster expasion - it is free, and it offers quite funny castle to explore. It's free, downloadable from the official site, I believe. _________________ - Druids do not fight with metal weapons! Sit here, and you over here. Put the elbows of your right arms on the table...
