Mouse Wheel Problems

This is very strange. I have Gothic 2 installed on my laptop. At home, I can connect a USB infrared mouse with a mouse wheel and when I'm in-game, I can use the mouse wheel to zoom in on the character and also move the selection box in the inventory. However, when I take my laptop to work and connect it to a docking station which has a Logitech Wireless infrared mouse with a mouse-wheel, it won't work. Any idea what controls this? I figured it might be the use Gothic 1 controls but that's not it. I loaded Gothic 2 on my home PC with the Logitech M700 cordless optical and it does the same thing. It won't let me use the mouse wheel to zoom and navigate the inventory.

Gothic II uses only the standard system mouse and keyboard (devices aren't enumerated, no configuration).
If your touchpad is the standard system mouse - additional mouse devices aren't recognized (depends on the driver).

Check your BIOS first (e.g. on my notebook I can choose if the USB (wireless) mouse is used for scrolling...)
