Anybody else have problems with the videos? I can't even watch the intro video with the bubbles that shows the Piranha-bytes logo - I get about 1 frame per second with equally choppy sound. Same goes for the intro video.

Win98 SE, up to date drivers, DirectX 8.1.
Duron 600, 512MB RAM, Voodoo V5 5500, Sound Blaster Live Value.

The game also crashes about 30% of the time when I try and load a game. A couple times it's crashed in the middle of gameplay (poof! - disappears altogether and I'm back at the Windows desktop).

Great game! I hope they can make it more stable! And decrease the load times (ouch!).

Activate 2xFSAA to fix the videos.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I´m relatively sure the crashes are caused by something in your system.

My machine:
TB 850, ECS K7VZA3 (yes, El Cheapo, not even the latest BIOS and drivers), Voodoo 5500, 512 MB, Win98SE, DirectX8.0a, Terratec XFire 1024, NIC, TV-card.

Very similar to your machine.
I play the latest German version (1.08h), it´s so stable I can change the resolution as often as I want, Alt-Esc out and go back in multiple times, fight multiple enemies without getting crashes. And all this with an active internet connection including Opera, WebWasher and ZoneAlarm.

Try to change the sound provider to DirectSound. This helped many people with Creative cards.

Loading times on your machine should be approx. 45 seconds, i think.
