Good game. It sort of got drab near the end and the rest of the game didn't live up to the great beginning and the plot wasn't that fleshed out. But overall I enjoyed it a lot more than most RPG offerings over the past years. Though the ending stunk. Anyway, I was just wondering if you guys could clarify some plot points I was curious about.
What's with Chromanin? You have this guy who acts like he's discovered the secret of happyness and fullfillment, you track him down, only to find that he's been killed by a bunch of skeletons? Rather depressing, especially after all the effort I had to go through to get to him. (Ok, that last part is a lie, the only riddle I understood and didn't have to cheat was the one that essentially says "go back to the tower" )
Was the weird relationship between Diego, Lester, Gorn, and Milten supposed to be explained? 4 different guys with totally different loyalties who have secret meetings at undisclosed locations. Sounds fishy.
What's up with Xardas? This guy summons demons, lives in an evil looking tower and studies the black arts. Hmmm, you'd think he was up to no good.
Errm, maybe these sorts of questions don't really have answers, or are answered in Gothic 2. But seeing as how that isn't coming for a few more months, I'd rather have my curiosity slated before then. |

i cant really answer one of your questions, but the thing about xardas, he looked evil, had the evil attitude but was a good guy i loved it, he was my most favorite character in the entire game, together with the good orc:)
i think waht you are lookin for with xardas might be answered in g2 i'm also still waiting for it
or maybe g3 cause i heared they were already working on it
and if the second is better then the first i hope that it isn't just an rumour
and you are right it is the best rpg ever
just because it is so different from the rest but that it was kinda sloppy in the end is also true but still enjoyed it like never before _________________ Want to become a vampire? a warrior in the battle between vampires and werewolves?

Maybe we will find the answers in the Gothic 3. I've finished G2 and all I can tell you now, is that the whole story seems to be more complicated (and also Xardas is very complicated charakter ).
Ok, I don't want to write any spoilers, so I can only advise you: play Gothic 2. It's a great game. |
