Hi,
Can you please help me out here.
I've progressed to chapter 2 in Gothic 2.
(I joined the milita)
I was told that the smith in the Barracks will teach me how to increase my strength. However, the the only dialogue option is "Ende".
I did screw up with the guy that gives out the weapons (told the Paladin in charge that he was in bordel), but I do not think that should effect the other character.
Anyway, I have strength = 50 and one ring that gives additional 5 points.
Nevertheless, I need 10 more - I found a nice sword that makes 65 damage, but I need 65 strength to wield it.
Thanks in advance.

I see... How did you get 60 points of strength? Do you have some rings?
I only managed to get 50 using the teachers before I joined and 5 strength points from the ring, as I said before.
I guess that it is necessary to get as much strength from korinis teachers and mercenary teacher before you join the milita.... |

Am I to believe that the strenght/dexterety bug is gone ...
That Bug was GREAT!...you would take a ring (or neklace) wich had a strenght/dexterity bonus and put it on and take it of over and over again..
..and your strenght would increase PERMANENTLY!
I remember getting my strenght up to 1000 (i did finish the game 3 times without cheats though)...it was a GOD bug... I'm gonna miss it ! |

The issue of Strength is SOLVED |
|
Hi again,
It turns out that there is a teacher whos' limit is 70 points of strength.
(that is for the 2nd chapter)
It's Brutus or what's his name, in the besieged castle in the mine colony.
He is located to the left of the prison, where Gorn is held, in a smal house. (In G1 there were cooks in there).
Make sure to take off any rings with strength bonuses when you increase your strength or other abilities.
Good Luck. |

Where can I find ring(s) of strength? I've already got the amulet from the thieves but I'd like some extra power before going to the vally of mines
I'm also looking for kings forrel and dragon root to make pernanent strength potions, where can I find more of them? _________________ There's nothing greater then the power of magic |

You can, with some effort, find a ring of strength +5 right outside the east gate! Here is the spot on the map, the ring is near a skeleton under a fir tree, on top of a small plateau of land. http://forum.jowood.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=152645 |

If you check my reply to this post http://www.rpgdot.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=28988&start=15 it shows a way to get 4 points of strength indepent to the teachers.
Also praying at the shrines, I've managed at least one point that way, as well as donating gold to the priest of Innos at Khorinis East Gate. Both of those are a bit of a gamble, but you should still get something useful even if not strength. |
