Powerfull Sapper Claws for Lutero

Hey guys, I've searched the forum for an answer but I couldnt find it.

Lutero asked me to bring him the claws of a particulary powerfull snapper. I learned the remove claws skill from this hunter at the entrance of the Valley of Mines and the same guy also asked me to kill this Snorting Dragon Snapper. I Killed it and took it's claws and went to Lutero, but when I talk to him I only get ask "Show me your wares". Is the Snorting Dragon Snapper the right snapper or isnt he powerfull enough???

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong

That is not the proper snapper. You have to go to the valley of the mines, there you will get a quest from Garond. And eventually you will end up in a mine where a palladin will ask you to clear out some snappers. If you look near the mine were you got that quest you will find a snapper leader ( or some simillar name ) you have to take his claws. Hope this helps.

Go to the Valley of mines. Soon you will get the quest to kill pack of snappers including the pack leader - bring his claws to Lutero.

The snorting dragon snapper is powerful indeed, but it is not the right snapper you're looking for.

You won't see this "powerful" snapper until you do one of the ore mine quests in Chapter 2.

The following is a complete spoiler of finding this snapper: -

Once you have reached the Valley of Mines, fight your way into the castle and receive the ore mine quest from the Paladin General, Garond. Your task here is to go to the three mines and report their mining progress to Garond. Each mining site is marked with a colored dot in the following map (the numbered location is not important; they're marked for your reference):

  • Green: Fajeth's mines
  • Blue: Diego's cave, storing the ore for Silvestro
  • Red: Marcos' cave, storing his ore
  • 1. Olav's resting place
  • 2. Silvestro's mine, which is captured by minecrawlers.

You'll encounter the special snapper while you've reached your first station, Fajeth's mine.

When you speak with Fajeth, Fajeth does not reveal his progress unless you do a quest for him: you have to kill all the snappers surrounding his mining site. To complete Fajeth's quest, first, speak with Bilgot, the man-at-arms wearing his militia armor. After you promise him that you'll bring him out of the valley, he'll tell you that he notices a fierce-looking lizard "by the steps to the old watchtower." THAT snapper, labelled "Pack Leader", is the one you're looking for. Once you killed that snapper, you'll find the "Leader of the Pack's Claws" in its inventory, even if you don't have the necessary skill for claws. Report to Fajeth that you have killed the snapper leader and let him inform you about his mining progress, then you task at your first station is done.
