Didnīt see the one I was hoping for the most: "Fixed EVERY crash. You can now play for 240 consecutive hours without one single crash. Hell, you can play forever, untill your computer fries, but even then, the game will still run. Oh, and improved FPS a LOT! You can now play Morrowind on a pentium 120 with 24 megs of ram and still get 120 fps, even in Ebonheart whith the rain pouring!
And Ai has also been fixed. Seems like real life now. Also about 2000 new quests wich each take aprox 20 hours to complete. And all the shopkeepers are a bit richer too. _________________ CaptainWorshipperNonFlamer

HiddenX: I think his first anwer would be:
Please post in English, since this is an English forum!
.. and then:
Probably not, if it's not the Collector's Edition, it's most likely not the US version. Even the UK version is supposedly different from the US version.
[edit] Geez, I'm slow! And got the answers half wrong too. [/edit]

CRPGNut - yup, the journal sucks
It really needs some better organizing and a way to mark quests as finished. I would like to be able to annotate it.
BTW - has someone tried importing his "offline" journal as a book into the game? Now that would be nice, wouldn't it? _________________ Rendelius

Arhu:
i posted in german because i thought the question "which exact Morrowind version is in my possession" is a german/austrian/swiss only problem.
but thanx to you and Rendelius for the fast answer.
Does someone know the reasons for 2 different english versions ? _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild= |

As one of the beta testers, we're a bit surprised, as we had no advance notive that it was going public, and they changed the patch with another feature for us to test out just yesterday afternoon.
Then, today at 9am, one of the Moderators at the Beta Board said he was going to get rid of the users that had 0 posts because, as he said, "I really don't want to lose the people who are reading these boards and making an attempt to test the patch."
This is because he wants to keep those that "wish to remain a tester... think doing this will weed out as many non-testers as possible from the community and allow them to replaced by a new group to see if they will work out.
Hopefully, we will eventually have a full contigent of testers here if this method is used enough times with each patch/product."
So either there is going to be another patch for us to test out or they suddenly just ended it in the past 9 hours without explanation. _________________ ~ Reverend Wes Ide ~

Another thing: the FPS optimizer isn't working on the patched version yet. Actually it validates the process as usually but it does nothing. No auto mode, no hotkeys. But I'm sure the author is aware of this and is already working on v0.6 at this moment |

Worksforme. I had to validate it manually again, after that I switched back to the game, pressed END and it worked.

Uhm.. This patch worked on my version of the game that I bought in Sweden! (Yeah, I had to try..) I was in a preorder line though.. Maybe they imported american versions to speed up the process? Neat anyhow. And are you sure there are no fps improvements? I thought it ran a little smoother than usual.. Must be my brain messing with me again. |

well, yes, I thought that, too - but aince it wasn't listed in the readme, I accounted that to my imagination _________________ Rendelius

There definitely is a slight increase in FPS for some people, but I don't think it was deliberately "worked on" in the patch. My guess is that they took the opportunity to clean up some sloppy coding that went out in the original, and the FPS boost is a side effect of that. The patched .exe is smaller than the original anyway. |

After Mattias i had to try the patch, too - and it worked !!!
the only file that was not updated was the Morrowind laucher - don't need this one.
make a direct link for Morrowind.exe and everything works fine.

Uhhh... where on the package do you find the code? I searched every bit of cardboard and packaging flaps, but I didn't find a product code... _________________ Jaz |

Did you check those little white papers that fall out of the box? _________________
