| NOTR > loading prob/an apologie |

Hey guys.
First of all, sorry for acting so ignorant, and didn't read the FAQ before clogging this forum up.
Anyway, I'm having a problem with loading a game in NOTR. I pasted my previous saved games into night of the raven savegam folder, so I didn't have to play all the game once more, I wanna start from where the add-on begins.
The problem is, when the loading bar comes halfway it just stops. Very annoying you see..
Do I have to play ALL the game again(cos that is VERY much) or is there a way, to start right from where the expansion starts?
Or maybe anyone have a savegame from where the addon starts they would pass on to me? I would be so thankful.

No need to apologize. 
Old savegames are not compatible. You have to restart.

Damnit, I simply don't have time nor anything else... Gorath, do you (or anyone else) have a savegame you maybe could pass on to me (through mail or MSN)?
I would be very thankful if that was possible. |

I don't think you understand.
The new expansion content is introduced right at the beginning of the game. You have to start a new game because the expansion changes Khorinis in addition to adding a new world to explore. Not only that, but certain fundamental modifications are made to the game rules.
So in other words, yes you have to start over, but it will feel different, trust me.
There are new characters to meet, new quests, and new items available right from the start. Eventually you'll enter the new expansion world in Chapter 2, but the "add-on" changes are evident throughout the whole game.

@Elkston: no, i didn't understand at all,  thanks for making it clear to me that the game starts over again.....now i do not need any savegame!!! |
