Just defeated first dragon (Swamp Dragon). Now how do I...

How do I merge the Swamp Dragon heart with the Eye of Innos? I think I have to because I'm at the second dragon that the knight tells me to go to fight but I'm not doing ANY damage to it even if I have the eye equipped. Do I have to speak to it? If so then I need to know how merge them together.

Go back to castle and use the alchemiy lab bench to recharge eye of innos.

Note that you don't have to wear the Eye to speak with the dragons, it only has to be charged (and in your inventory of course). So you can for example wear an Amulet of Strength, because the Eye will be worthless after talking to a dragon.

You'll need a lab water bottle to use the alchemist bench.
