I actually don't use the keyboard for movement at all. There's a toggle in the options that makes mouselook the default, so mouse movement controls your view and the left button makes you walk. Holding down the right button produces the cursor and allows you to work with the interface.

I play the game entirely with my mouse. The ONLY key I ever touch on the keyboard is the spacebar.
