We don't know why there isn't an option to buy it from Stone.\
By the way, that piece of armor isn't that special, you'll like wearing it for about 5 minutes before you'll think of it like any other pieces of armor.  |

I don't have to edit anything else.You can't take the heavy guards armors cause you are punished from the old camp.You can only take it in the add-on.

Bit of a grave dig on the thread but surely I can't be the only one that finds it funny that this question has popped up time and again since the game first appeared? Will it ever end?
You should have put a FAQ sticky at the top a month after the game came out (and after the tenth or so time the question was asked) entitled "YOU CANNOT GET THE HEAVY GUARD ARMOR".
As soon as this drops off of the first page it will be asked again as long as there is someone still interested in Gothic.

I can almost agree with what you say, but there's another angle to view this from, - - In the case of a newbie playing for the first time, the gamewriters very craftily make you believe indeed that there is more armour available so that when you get barred, this other armour is then "in your mind" this can then have the effect of making you (pc-hero) try to find some way of re-entering the old camp, as you will know, later, if you search for and find Stone, he will certainly assist you with either, the improved ore-armour, ring or weapon (enhanced) so therefore saying "YOU CANNOT GET THE HEAVY GUARD ARMOR". - - may well "put-off" some players from searching, maybe.  |

Good point. I suppose the armour in this case worked as "a carrot" to lead the player on. But everyone remembers the armour being offered and then taken away so they become fixated on it. Especially as it was linked with the player's rank progression in the old camp as one of the upper tier guards. "The grass is always greener on the other side". 
Although the player might find better or an equal afterwards they still always remember what they never got. I suppose the fact that so few ever ask about all the other unique armours shows that it must have been due to the dialogue tease where it was present.
I'll count how long it takes before we get another request for it in the game.
I'm surprised that there isn't a mini-mod somewhere to add it in. It'd be the easiest way to keep folk quiet.
