I'm relatively new to Gothic/rpgs in general - I'm level 7, in the Old Camp and with level 2 one-handed sword and 30 strength. Should I just train and train to get skill points before doing anymore missions, or do it as I go along? Also, what should I spend my skill points on? Should I save them up for mana, or use them for sneaking or acrobatics, or get strength, or start to learn two-handed sword/bowmanship? ADVICE PLEASE!

What class of character do you want to be?
If you wanne be a fighter you should train strenght and melee combat.
If you wanne be a mage (don't join the New Camp or sect camp if you wanne be a mage) you should train mana and start saving you XP for when you want to learn the circles of magic.
Taking trophies skills are always useful, but the only thief skill which is useful is lockpicking.  |

As a fighter I just trained all strength, and if I was getting beat up too bad, I trained level 1 in 1hd.
Also, taking trophies is a good move if youre really low on cash.
Lockpicking is always good, and I trained acrobatics just because I didnt wanna jump like a sissy 
I wouldnt train mana if you were going to be a fighter. The only thing you will need it for is occasionally teleporting and light scrolls.

Just to let you know,when you learn acrobatics,theres a bug you can press random arrows as you fall off a big cliff or something and land on your feet.

learn acrobatics and 2hweapon skill,then power up your streangth to 95 and dextirity to 60,power you mana to 25,and save skill points to the ciecles of magic,after that go to cronos in the new camp and buy the amulet of enlighten,so your mana will be 40.
