We received a German press release (English version <a href="http://www.jowood.com/investor/?lang=en" target="_blanK">here</a> and German version <a href="http://www.jowood.com/investor/?lang=de" target="_blank">here</a> at JoWood's site) from Austria-based JoWood earlier today in which the company announces a co-publishing deal with German Koch Media regarding 'Gothic III', 'SpellForce II' and 'The Guild II'. Koch Media has been granted the exclusive licence and distribution rights for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and Italy. The titles above will thus be published under the JoWood and Deep Silver labels (Deep Silver = Koch Media label) in those countries. |

Still no mention of the Gothic 2 Add-on though  To my knowledge, the release of a full english langage version of the add-on is in question (by full english ver, I mean, all text, spoken dialog and manuals etc in english, like with english ver of G1&2).

The problem with the addon is that we don't know who has the publishing rights. If Atari still has them, then we will probably never see the addon. So I hope JoWood either never sold them to Atari or bought them back from Atari (or even stole them back for all I care).
If JoWood still has the publishing rights then maybe someday the addon will become available for the english speaking public. I sincerely hope so. There has been a rumor by Vossi, a board moderator from the JoWood board, who said that the addon "will come out in the next few weeks" but that there isn't a specified releasedate. So I'll wait, see and hope if the addon comes out. |

Also for the UK, great. That gives hope for the international release of G3. Hopefully Koch Media will do some good work with the english version.
