Taris (Spoiler: Don't read until leaving Taris)

You will really spoil a lot of the first part of the game for yourself if you read this. And there's nothing here that can help you with anything that takes place earlier.

Spoiler:
I just found out Taris is to be destroyed. I hope we can save it. That would be an awful plot twist. Here I just sent the villagers on their long journey to the promised land, and they aren't going to make it! Please say it ain't so.

Sort of makes a lot of the first part of the game pointless, doesn't it!!

Definitely. Even on my dark side path, I still felt sympathy for Mission. Of course, after talking to NPCs on other planets, i feel even worse for the Taris citizens...

My Dark Side character didn't enjoy it when people laughed at him when he bragged about winning the season opening swoop race. Much lightsaber swinging ensued.

Oh no. Do you mean I have to leave Mission behind?

I thought I'd get to take Mission and the Wookie along with Carth and Bastila and the robot. I've been replaying the first part instead of continuing on so I don't really know how this goes.

I guess that means I take Carth and Bastila, since I need her and can't split up Mission and the Wookie. Ooops. I guess I have to leave Carth too since I have to take that new guy.

silken, I didn't say anything about leaving anyone behind! You just continue playing the game, and don't worry!

You will understand eventually why I feel sorry for Mission!

Thanks. I am really relieved These characters have gotten to me. I'll probably catch up to where I was tomorrow and then I'll leave Taris. Good to know I will have my gang with me.

Someone on the Bioware board commented that you can make yourself believe that the villagers survive the descruction, since they are so far underground. I'll do that (make myself believe it).

I kind of believe the villagers made it, since the blasts only hit the surface, and not the undercity. At least I'd like to believe it.

I'll say it then, It aint so!

They were bombing the surface, ie cities. Its not like they had a DeathStar
Plus the Seekers of the Promised Land said it was an Unknown area lost to civilization or some such.
Dont think about the plot to much
