"Darkened Skye is a real-time Action/Adventure game featuring a level-based,
third-person-shooter style of design which weaves mythology, puzzle work and
a rich story line. You play Skye, an adventurer with a restless spirit.
Solve ancient mysteries, cast spells, trade wisecracks, and kick monster
butt in this serious quest with a fresh, funny irreverent tone."

Five worlds, 30 missions
Attractive main character with an irreverent personality.
"Over 50 speaking NPCs.
Top voice talent: Linda Larkin (Princess Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin) and
Rob Pruitt (Blue M&M)
Puzzles and action seamlessly intertwined.Complex, dramatic plot that doesn't get in the way of fragging bad guys."

It looks kinda cartoony IMO. Might be alright, but it doesnt get my blood going like Morrowwind, or NeverWinter Nights do.
If they have a demo I might try it, but other then that... |

I know what you mean , I was also frustrated in GOTHIC when this bastards Bloodwyn threaten me and ask 10 ore and I cant kill him!
They should relase some sort of patch where you can start new game with import-character from the last save at end of the GOTHIC and slaughter all diggers , rogues , templars with chainsaw & shoutgun! |

Looking for something similar to Gothic?
Buy Summoner from Volition Software. It's an awesome game, but be sure to download the patch the shipped version is buggy. |
