Question about the island of the coast of Khorinis.

Has anyone swam out to the island off the docks of khorinis? Does anyone know where to obtain the key to the chest hidden in the cave with the spikes that come out of the ground?

You obtain the key by stealing the moneylender's ledger, and giving it to the woman who runs the "hotel".
