stamina meter won't refill

I have a problem and I don't know how to solve it. I went to the cursed abbey there suddenly my stamina became less and less, and i wasn't even moving. When the meter was empty it didn't refill. thinking it was something to do with the cursed abbey, i ignored the problem saved a few times, so i haven't any save games from before the problem. Now the problem still exists even after reloading.
Can anybody help me
