There are tuns of bandit camps.
The best way to get money as a beginner is asking beer from the landowner, you can do this very quik, but i got a bug where he only gives you beer half of the time. when you get over 200 beers sell them all at the market.
and then there's cypher just waiting for you to get punched down and stealing all his stuff(then selling it back and repeat)

This reminds me the trick with the Rice Lord at Gothic 1
