Has anyone that has done a full install on their system suffer from any slowdown during the game? I have a Pent III 850 mhz with 396 ram, and my game gets real slow when I enter the orc lands

It seems to be only in the "boundary"...once I get deeper into the orc lands the slowness fades.

Any suggestions?

Ocassionally I'll suffer some frame rate loss. Like in a fight with a lot of things it will freeze for about two seconds. The music skips during this time as well. But it happens mostly when I haven't rebooted my system in about a week, and start the game with a healthy 64% of computer resources free.

P3 1ghz with 256 megs and a GF2 32 meg card... and I've never had a game in the past year not work with my system fresh out of the box.

ok I load a saved game, and if there is a barrier storm, it takes a little time to cache it up. Rotate 360 degrees and it rturns to normal speed.

The real horrible slowdown is when you get surrounded by a pack of enemies(like those damn ORC DOGS!!!!!).

I have a GeForce 3 and a PIII 900mhz with 512 mbPC133 RAM, Windows Xp(blech), and RivaTuner(tweaking software).

Resolution 1024x768, all texture qualities max, and visibility 300%. It runs alright.

...and it all runs the same in any resolution in terms of performance... so must be the entities and the sky effects.
...notice the crashlike "pause" when day turns into night, and the moon and campfires have to load up!

whew, if this was a MMORPG it would be laggy, but fun...
