Great game
   

This game may be out of date but it is still the best game i have ever played and most likly will remain the best.

If you like Ultima 9, You should definitely check out Gothic 2. I think this is the style Ultima single player games would have evolved into if EA would have alowed the series to continue. It features a persistant world like in Ultima 7 and good 3d effects as in Ultima 9. The camera lets you zoom out so you can see a big portion of the world, giving it a Baldurs Gate type look when running around outside.

Frankly, if you think U9 was the best game you ever played, you should try Ultima 7. On second thought, U7 might be too involved for you. Try Serpent Isle instead.

The graphics are not amazing (though they were pretty good for the period), the game play is much more immersive.

By using Exult on higher resolutions, the game doesn't look half bad even today.
