Iron Grate in Goblin Cave

On the walk to the black troll lair, after the Inca-like temple there is a cave off to the left of the path. It has two doors and an iron grate. Both doors open up ... no problem. Has any one figured out how to open up the iron grate?

Thanks!

Does this mean that in marvin-mode "k" opens any door?

What if there is a hidden switch I missed? Would the door still open?

no, with 'k', you will be transported 2 meters forwards, it doesn't matter if there is a door or a wall.
if you can't open it, and it is there just for fun, you will fall down in an empty space. (it's the same when you walk over the end of the world, you will fall down and die)
