help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My cheats won't work

When I enter the game I can enter Marvin-Mode but F2 will not pop up the console menu what can I do so I can enter god mode do I need to update the game? or add a Command-line to shortcut.
Please help me

How far are you in the game? There's a heavy branch and a dagger in Xardas' tower.

About the weapon thing already answered:dagger + heavy branch from Xardas tower.The heavy branch is a little tricky to find:look near the fireplace inside Xardas Tower.
And now what I wanted to post:You can finish chapter 1 without fighting!
Just run and complete the tasks.That will slow your upgrate but you can do it without a weapon untill you have money to buy a good one!
The secret is to have will not a weapon!
