What is the purpose of the blue circle with the white number appearing in the upper left hand corner of an inventory item. I noticed on a pair of steel gloves that it had a blue circle with a white number 12 in it, while a bronze glove had a blue circle with a white number 14 in it. What is the purpose of the circle?

Max,
I think what you are describing is the armor class those items provide that part of your body. If this is the case, you would not see those numbers until you had equipped the item.
The number is just a quick reference to see which armor better protects that area of your body.
I apologize if this info isn't right, but from what you describe (If memory serves!!) that is what I'm guessing...

Makes sense to me. (I'm at work now, on break of course) I thought it meant a certain slot it was supposed to go in. But your description makes more sense to me.

I could be mistaken but the blue numbers could be number of charges. Such as the duct tape for all you Gadgeteer players out there. |
