I have just broken down and purchased the Gothic Collectors Edition in order to get the expansion for Gothic II. For the shipping they charge, it seemed more sensible to get a bigger package for a few bucks more. Now my question is this- are there any English subtitles availible for Gothic? I know that Gothic II and the expansion have them, but Im curious (as I am getting the german version of Gothic). I have a rudimentry understanding of German, but it probably would be good to have the English subtitles. Thanks! |

Thereīs no subtitle patch for Gothic. It may be worth a try to hav somebody with an installed Gothic mail you the English subtitles. Although this doesnīt translate the interface it at least correctly translates the dialogs.
Itīs okay to play Gothic after G2, but I would advise to play it before the add-on. You meet many old friends.
