Greyhawk: Review @ Games Domain

Games Domain is offering up a review of Troika's AD&D based RPG 'Greyhawk: The Temple of Elemental Evil' today. Rating: 3.5 out of 5 symbols.

Here's a bit:
Compared to the Infinity Engine RPGs, and even to Neverwinter Nights, there's not a lot of plot to Elemental Evil. Long ago, a war between the evil forces of a temple near the village of Hommlet and the good armies of the lands nearby ended when the temple's masters were imprisoned. The temple fell into disrepair, and all was quiet for years. But now bandits are roaming the roads around Hommlet, and forces are starting to converge on the temple. This is where your party comes in, tasked with destroying this ancient evil.

if they can get a patch out the door, the game would be amazing. as it shipped, the reviews are right. play if you can deal with furstartion, but the impletmentation of the rules. trun-based is a joy.

Atari has not even contracted Troika to make a patch.Check the forums on the game's homepage to get a clearer picture of just what "a few frustrating bugs" really means.
