ppl with lower end pc's who got gothic 2 post your specs

Just curious , ppl with lower end comps , like 1ghz , 700mhz , 800mhz etc post your specs and how well does gothic 2.

Gothic 1 ran fine with my system , i dont see why gothic 2 wouldnt and when gothic 2 comes out it might run a bit better when its polished , i hope , grrr 2/3 months left.

Im Pentium 3 , 733mhz , 512mb pc 133 ram , Radeon 8500 64MB DDR

Gothic 1 only lagged in the sleeper temple , only place in the whole game.

So post your specs and how it runs and dont lie

hoyp´s PC is low-end because he has such a lame excuse for a graphics card. I´m relatively sure your machine is faster than his. You have more RAM and your graphics card is 10x as fast.

And Brolli, if you don´t care about other people´s problems, why should they care about yours?

hoyp, no offense, but I would strongly suggest a video card upgrade. You´re wasting at least 50% gaming performance.

I have a P4 with 1.5 GHz, 640 MB RDRAM and a GF4 Ti 4400.

I play G2 with 1024*768*32 resolution, with all effects on and with highest settings. There is one exception though: While I have my viewing distance at 300% ( btw the viewing distance is much less than in G1, but still much more than in Morrowind ), my object distance is only 100%.

G2 runs ( mostly ) perfectly in wilderness, but iit's very slow in the city. Actually I find it barely tolerable. Still, for me it's more tolerable than sacreficing some graphical effects. So I'd say that G2 is very demanding but OTOH it's simply gorgeous.

I had a job when I was 14. Worked with my father on weekends, and had a secondary job at a garage doing odd jobs. I'ts how I got my Amiga, walkmans and beer belly. (the last one took a while to attain)

I didn't see the point stating my PC, as it's hardly low end (I hope), but for comparison purposes it's 2 gigs P4, 512ram, GeForce 3ti200, and the game runs perfectly. I have view distance at 160%, and run it on the highest settings. No loading times (which still amazes me), no stuttering, and it looks amazing.

you can get a job at 14 years old your just lazy like i was when i was 14

Well by the things you said i dont know if this will run now , specially that i got 733mhz , I dont know i hope they release a demo before g2 comes out so i can benchmark it , but gothic 1 even on lowest settings on 640x400 it still looked good not much of difference on 1024x768 , i dont know will see :/

In Canada you can't. It would be considered child labour, besides, I used up all my savings to buy my own tv......

but when I'm 15 I will surely get a job

Hi, Gothic 2 runs just fine on my system:

Celeron 600@900 (yep, a bit old, but...)
512 MB SDRAM
GeForce 4 Ti4200

Of course I can't set the visibility to 300% what I'd really like to do because it makes the world around you still more impressive... but with a visibility of 140% the game runs just fine at 1024x764x32.

Well the min specs are

700 Mhz whatever processore a graphics card with 32 MB and 256 MB Ram. I think the specs are fairly realistic, a smaller processor might be able to handle it but ram is the key issue as it was with part 1, since the whole sorrounding is loaded into ram once and the textures are extremely big (hence the 32 MB graphics card)

I´m playing it on an Athlon 900 with 700 MB ram and a GeForce Ti4200 and it plays fairly well
