Maybe I've made some mistake???

Ok I'm p[laying BG1 right now and I'm a swashbuckler (with bgtutu you can use kits even in bg1 ) so I being the big thief dual classed imoen to mage at level 5 and I max. her skills of Find traps before doing so and my swashbuckler is having Open locks, hide in shadows and Pickpocket at the max. The problem is can I use the Imoen find traps after dual classing her?????? Cause My thief cant do so???? or am I restricted to use only her mage skills????

Until her mage level is greater than her thief level, you can't use her thief abilities.
