Ice Caves: Left Stairs, Right Stairs

Never mind this note unless you are stuck as I was. I was wrong in thinking I had to jump the chasm. Just before the ledge overlooking the chasm there is a stair to the right as you come up the first set. You do a little jump to get on those and the rest is easy.

.... .... .... .... ....

    Level 2: 18 and 44.

I've gone up the stairs on the left (actually a series of ascending ledges, more than stairs). They come to a dead end overlooking a chasm. On the other side, slightly to the right, I see more stairs.

If I levitate over to them, I'm just a bit too low to get on the bottom step. Is jumping really the only way to accomplish this. Didn't I pay my jumping dues in the dwarf mines?

I need reassurance. Is this really the place I'm supposed to jump? According to the walk-through: "Walk up the stairs on the left side and, when they split up, jump up the right stairs...." It doesn't mention the chasm. Is it really possible to jump over this chasm?

What stupid puzzles. What an annoyance. What a game spoiler. Curses, and more on the programmers for this!

    .... .... .... ....
