Chapter 6 after the 4 locks, plz help
   

after killing the black magician how do i open the black gate. i have the chest key and i have read the scroll, i have spoken to everybody on the ship, and i have....... missed something, but what???

There's a stone in one of the chests in one of the side rooms. You need to have this stone in your inventory. Then read the letter; you just need to stand in the correct place in front of the gate when you do it, which might be a bit tricky. Just try until you hit the correct spot, and the gate will open.
