Yoda ran off because they were evenly matched. He knew that he could not defeat Sidious one-on-one. If any of Sidious' guards showed up, Yoda would have been dead meat. Yoda realized this and decided to withdraw from battle. He wasn't going to get back-up, Sidious was.
As for your second question, Sidious was yelling in triumph. He knew that he had won. He knew that the Sith had beaten the Jedi at that moment. He had his new apprentice and the Jedi would be wiped out.
Split? Maybe. Sticky? Nah.

damn it i hate ti when others are right
i tihnk that they should show the strenght of each yoda and mace windu cuz they didnt do it good and they showed yoda very weak in these new parts

Windu was defeated. He's dead.
Yoda was unable to beat Sidious, so he had to retreat. "Live to fight another day..." and al that.
