You people seem to like this game a lot. Could you guys give me a quick run-down? I might try it out if it's something I might like.

It’s hard to imagine that this game is what, 8 years old? and many players consider this a Best RPG game to date (at least I do that ). That said, makes you think.

- The story takes place after nuclear war in USA west coast.
- Combat is turn-based.
- View is isometric.
- High re-playability value.

If I missed something important there are lots of guys and gals here that will chip in.

Damn, well I see one thing I don't like. The isometric view.
I can live with turn-based combat. I've played enough concole games to be used to that and learn to like it.

You haven't played Fallout?! Sacrilege!

You've got to play it. You can pick it up for $10, I think.

It was released in 1997 so it's roughly 6 years old.

If you can't live without modern graphics or a fantasy setting, then maybe Fallout isn't for you. The graphics were pretty good for their time - but not spectacular.

I love the post-apoc setting, great sylised '50s art (with intro music from the Ink Spots), it's got a pretty wicked sense of humour and a great character creation system (how many games allow you to create a drug-addicted character or one that's jinxed). Voice talent from people like Richard Dean Anderson...uh...OK - maybe having MacGyver as a voice isn't so good...how about Tony Shalhoub, Ron Perlman, Keith David...

But the best thing is simply this: there isn't a better "role-play" game. Period. You really can play everything from a goody, goody to an evil gangster who allies with drug lords to a diplomat to a thief...as so on.

Yes, there are lots of possibilities to play the game, and FO2 is even better at this.

Richard Dean Anderson?!

Lawanda faints. Oops, prior to her fainting she orders this game! Now she happily faints!

Well, that's one way to sell a game.

Alright, vampire ninja squirrels it is...but they better do the job quick!! *gg*

I'd better point out that the character he voices, Killian, doesn't have *that* much to say.

Lawanda sics her vampire ninja squirrels on Dhruin. Dhruin is quickly devoured.

You won't be conquering the Earth anytime soon, little Martian man!

At this point, I don't think she cares, Dhruin.
