Hey
I have been looking for a good RPG game for weeks now. And Since I can't find any I thought that you people might know some good RPG games.
Okay the game should be like Gothic or Kotor. You know few different guilds to join (Mage, Wizard, Paladin, Rogue, Warrior..) and MANY MANY people to talk. Well basicly there should be amoung the enemy NPC many Neutral and Friendly NPC. Like towns and villages full of good NPC's. I'm not making much sense a'm I? Well The game should basicly be almost like Gothic 1 or 2 or Kotor. But Not like Morrowind. I hate that game it's too dark and no one says anything. I'm really not making any sense! I'l just line up the features it should include.
1. Different guilds
2. Many Friendly and Neutral NPC'S
3. Ability to affect the storyline
4. All NPC should speak with sound other then "die" "ughh" "grr" "hello"
5. Big characters like in Gothic, Kotor, Deus ex Not like in Sacred or Warcraft 3.
6. Towns, Villages, Towers...
7. Dark powers, Holy Magic...
8. Not Morrowind, Gothic or Deus ex I have them already even though I hate Morrowind.
So if anyone knows RPG'S like this or almost like this please let me know!!!

Come on. There must be atleast one game like that. Please if you know any games atleast almost like this tell me.

The one that I can think of that fits your requirements closest is PlaneScape:Torment. Only one it doesnt fit is the spoken dialog.
Its not 3D, but then again you didnt specify that as a requirement.

Well there is one i know off that may have all of that. I cant be completly shure becouse its still under development and the last official thing i heard was Septemper 2004. And off the most promising thing with this game is that it have a Multiplayer Coop mode!!

@Dart23:
Since you added that as a requirement I am afraid you are out of luck. You basicaly described the Gothic series of games, and they are unique in their feature set.
Gonna have to wait for Gothic 3 I'm afraid...

Never Winter Nights ... no guilds but look for mods there are many out there and there might be one with guilds in it ... and you know it plays like KotOR.

Nwn plays like KotOR? ...right...
anyways, I think with all the specs you said, it's hard to get such a RPG besides the three you mentioned. you'll have to wait for GII, like Chekote said, or you wait for the new free MMORPG Guild Wars... that will be one hell of a game.

can anyone tell me a good third person rpg in middle age fantasy style like gothic? it must be a single player one. i played morrowind and gothic for the rest i could not find any good ones. so if any one could help me THX!!  [/img]

There aren´t that many RPGs similar to Gothic. Ultima 9 is the closest thing but it´s clearly worse.

Wizardry 8 fits 1 through 7 it's not much like Gothic or KOTOR though, but it's one of the best RPG's ever. |
