M&M Tribute: Development Update

Also thanks to Celestial Heavens for pointing out that there is a small development update at the 'Might & Magic Tribute' forums. You'll find a quick summary of what the team has been up to lately and also some artwork and an mp3 from the project if you follow the link to the post.

The question is whether anyone will still be alive that remembers Might and Magic by the time they finish the game. It's been about one update every three months with very little actual work done. The only time to get excited about fan-made projects is when they're released. Most updates read similar to:

1. We added the entrance the the mines.
2. Billy Bob made a neato midi file.
3. Bubba joined the team. He once got an A on an english term paper
so he's our new lead writer.

I wish these folks the best but I expect to see this game follow the same timeline as Grimoire. Hope I'm wrong....

I hope you are wrong too. I think Tribute has a better chance of being released than Grimoire does, but then both games have some sort of demo released.

Just went back to this site to check up on it. There are almost no updates. Nothing really since July, 2004. Nothing solid at all. I'm sorry to say that this looks like pure vaporware now. It is getting so rare for an indie to make it. Is Jeff Vogel the only true indie developer to make it?
