Ok im confused and need help

ok I have joined bosper, went to the tavern and help randolph win. Now I could not beat buster at onars farm so I need some advice. What kind of things should I do around the main town or surrounding area to start to beef my guy up so I can actually start defeating some stuff? right now I have leather armor and the wolfs tooth.

First thing is get a better weapon, your wolf's tooth is not much better than a goblin's branch.

Go into any cave and you will find a rusty axe or sword, Or go to Onar's farm and talk to the smith Bennet, and he will teach you to forge normal weapons for 30 gold and 5lp. You don't have to join the merc's to do this.

Also if you are a mele fighter improve your strength.

Spend LP at one of the strenght trainers, one would be a smith residing in the harbor district called Carl (if I remember rightly), another one would be Torloff at Onar's farm (usually standing in front of Onar's house) but only if you are guildless or a mercenary. Other's would be Harrad the blacksmith (if you became his apprentice) or Mortis at the Milita's barracks (when you are Milita trains up to 60) or the Paladin besides Lord Hagen in the town hall (trains you when you are a Paladin).

Doubt he can get that amulet from thieves guild anytime soon, if he's getting beaten up by everything...

There's one +5 STR ring not far from East city gate. Also, just travel around some and get LP's and raise STR. Carl in the city helps to raise it for anyone, other guys want you to be one of them before training you, so they're useless for now. Carl can raise your STR up to 30, I think, it was...

Every chapter new creatures will appear. But within a chapter there will be no respawning of creatures and monsters.
