So the date is august 14th now..Heh this means it will come only ten monts after german release. Its bloody shame to see gothic 2 repeating the same mistake as gothic did.If this is true, well i can pretty much stop waiting the game. Its incredibly sad that pb ended up having bad bublisher again.

i bet the reason they are taking so long to release it is because they are having too much fun playing it!

I think this idea of yours learning germany doesn't sound that crazy at all.I'm pretty positive i can learn german language faster than these folks are able to release the game.

I'll give you guys the benefit of the doubt and figure that you're kidding about this learning German business.

Learn the language because you want to, not for hopes of getting good enough so you can play Gothic 2. In my opinion, by the time you've mastered German enough to get all the great stuff out of the dialouge, Gothic 20 will be out! LOL!!!

I'd just prefer to wait as frustrating as it is. I want to expereince this game to the MAX the first time I play it. That means speech in the language I best understand (English) and minimal outside spoilers.

The August 14th date we've seen on two different sites (Ebgames.com) and this other one mentioned are not official. So my guess is that since there hasn't been any word from Jowood, they are just using a worst case scenario so they won't have to push the date back again. Obviously it will look better if the date gets moved up!

BUT -- I betcha the other site just got that date from Ebgames. They figured Ebgames was a reliable source so they just mirrored their date.

Another thing to consider is if Jowood is more willing to give accurate release information to retailers versus average joe consumers . I mean, is the lack of information a black out for everyone -- including the suppliers or just for we regular consumers.

I truly hope there is no truth behind this August 14th thing. What a shame if it takes that long to get the game out. I mean I know it took the original Gothic several months to get the US, but the difference there is that I wasn't waiting for it!

Why don't you download the english text?
In my country we translate the games.
It so slowly but it works, and the Gothic 2 translate is still in 30%.
so, when the game was released i was played it with in my language I hope.
So, translate boy, translate.

By the time this game is released , it will be outdated.

cya people. hated to have to come in here and whine, but. this is why companies Loose bigtime,
i can see jowood in bankruptsy with this kind of business practice.
