Hi all,
I have seen in several posts that DEX only effects bows and not xbows, so if your character is fighter-based, don't train in DEX as it is a waste in points.
However, all my xbows have a minimum DEX requirement, so one has to train in DEX to get a decent xbow, correct? |

The confusion is caused by whether or not players are using the add-on or not.
If you are playing the original version of Gothic II, dexterity is indeed a requirement for ALL ranged weapons.
If you are playing Gothic II with Night of the Raven expansion, dexterity is only required for bows, and strength is required for crossbows. _________________ "D'oh! I knew I should've saved sooner!" |

And even in the addon it is useful to increase your dex, your can better use your thief-skills and you'll get acrobatics when you have dex=90 (not sure about the 90). _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."

Awww, man.... you mean I have to get my dexterity that high in order to have acrobatics? I thought it was just a skill that I had to learn from someone like in the first game. _________________ "D'oh! I knew I should've saved sooner!" |
