Might and Magic - Wargame???
You must be thinking of Heroes of Might and Magic which was a pretty good and very popular fantasy stratagy game. With a sequel currently in the works.
However the Original Might and Magic was an 80s turn based RPG. That game was part of the big trio at the time Ultima, Wizardry and Might & Magic. And basically all subsequent CRPGs have been somewhat based on those 3 games.
As far as the Fly spell, there was no time cost in Might and Magic. Additionally there were dragons you would have to fight while in flight. Up unitl Gothic 2, Might and Magic 6 was my favorite RPG of all time.
Anywhoz. based on all the previous posts, I feel okay with the minimal amount of mana that I currenlty possess. I think sometime in chp 5 I can see a path where I can have it up to the high 200s base on potions (both made and store bought) and some equipment. Thanks all for the suggestions and hopefully any one else who subsequently has this problem can refer back to this thread and recieve some very good advice. |

Yes yes, Heroes is wargame like, For Might&Magic I didn't knew there was more than the 1 to 3. I played the 2, not sure I ever finished it, I tried the 1 but gave up soon and also played the 3 but again never finished it.
Nope young man, Might&Magic wasn't in the golden trio of old times. Wizardry and Ultima was for sure but well Wizardy lost quite fast the rope. SSI games and Pool of Radiance, not the recent remake, was in old stuff with quite a name and a quality. But more importantly, for the golden three, it's impossible to not put in it, the illustrous Dungeon Master. At best Might&Magic 1 to 3 was pale copies.
There was also Bards Tales but I think they just became worst and worst.
I cannot quote golden oldies without to mention Moria and Rogues. Dam I spend hours on that, particularly Moria.
But I'll give a look on Might&Magic 6 if I can put my hand on it. |
