Can't find file: CODE: 255

Hi.

I'm in the city and have taken on many quests. GREAT game !

But my problem is this:
A bug came last time. I was talking to a guard when the view freezed and he stop talking and i couldn't get up the status menu (hitting Esc) and the view were all f**** up. When i moved around the area the view was locked on him and i could go anywhere i wanted and the guards didn't say anything....

When i loaded the save game i had 5min before the "bug" hit me, I get this message.
"B: VFILE: ERR: -2, Can't find file:_WORK\DATA\SOUND\OW_MISC_WALL_TORCH_01.MRM Code: 255"

What's wrong? How do i get this fixed?

I don't know if you found a resolution to your problem, but I had similar problems with savegames starting in Chapter 2 ( and onward)

Occasionally when I tried to load one at the START of a new Gothic 2 session, I would get" VDFS Err xxx cannot find file .xxxxx, etc.

SO what I did was load up another save file that *did* work, and then load up the one that failed before. Then, the one that was failing worked with no problems.

I would then re-save the savegame that had problems before and things would be fixed -- for a while. I still got the problem occasionally but retrying it after VDFS initializes everything again seems to fix it.
