Ugh. The ponytail is staying?

I thought I read that the devs were going to do away with that silly ponytail? However, looking at the screenshots of the newest preview, that doesn't seem to be the case. That awful ponytail is one of the few things that really annoys me about the protagonist.

It's a ponytail, man. What can be so bad about that?

The fact that they weren't able to make it look good at all. In Gothic 1, it's a triangle stuck to the back of the hero's head. It looks terribly, and it doesn't help that you have to look at it for the entire length of the game. At least it looks like Gothic 2 will have you wear helmets at some point.

So then it would take half-a-real man to just have the ponytail?

Pony tail? I never noticed. I guess it takes a certain type of guy to notice and obsess on something like that

The release delay doesn't concern me; after all, it will eventually hit stores, and I will then be able to play it.

However, I'm stuck with that ponytail forever.

FYI, the ponytail isn't final.
(well, it's a minor detail which can/will be changed in the last five minutes before it goes gold;))
