cats or dogs ?

Do you like cats, dogs, both, or neither? I have a wonderful cat. He is black and white, very large, and he is smart. His name is Kitty Little, heh.

I have a story about my cat. Yesterday i took him to the vet. I have thought that my cat has had a hernia for a long time now. So i took him to the vet to get his shots, and asked if he would check the hernia. He said, "Where did you feel the hernia?" while checking his tummy. Im like "dunno, look at all the skin on his stomach, it looks like his guts are hanging out" and then he said, "Your cat doesnt have a hernia, he's just fat." i said "LOL!" That made me feel so stupid, lol.

We have two cats: Taliesen and Nimue. They're an endless source of amusement.

I'm usually a dog person myself, but I guess it really depends on the animal and it's owner. Cats are usually quiet and don’t make much of a mess, which counts high for me. Dog's seem more playful, and some can actually do things for you.

I have a 110 lb german shepherd that acts just like a brother to me. He'll guard the house all the time, entertain me whenever I'm bored, and I've trained him to fetch things like soda from the fridge (not that lazy, just a fun trick to show people). His only bad habits are his need to pee on the leg of people he doesn't like (this has lead to some entertaining conflicts ) and the fact that he steals and hides things like shoes and car keys to keep people from leaving the house.

**I forgot about ferrets, if you can get past the smell, they make great pets.

I have two grey/black tiger-lookin' cats. They are a mom & daughter. The mommy cat is named KI. The daughter cat is named CHI. They are both full of energy and tear stuff up all the time...which I think is cool! They love swatting verticle blinds!

Ummm, note the avatar...

Most of the cats I've known over the years are just plain anti-social.

Cats all the way. Endless entertainment is correct Dhruin.

To mis-quote a movie:

"Cats rule, and dogs ... well, they drool. Not to mention they smell bad after getting wet" *Grin*

Cats are stupid and mean. The disappear, sometimes forever (and that's good), bring dead animals to you expecting praise (when they do that I'm like, "hell no, biyatch! I don't want your stupid rat!"), and scratch the furniture and you. Dogs are loyal and friendly, not to mention smart. Actually, I don't hate cats, but I do prefer dogs.

I like doggies a little more than cats, but that's probably because I'm allergic to cats. I adore my dog though, she's 15 years old and still smart.

As for cats, I'm a sucker for the dreaded "silent meow". Gets me every time, and I bet cats know this ahead of time.

Looks like I might have to go get mom 'n sis for some backup! we're losing ground
*clawz* snikktt!!
we call the silent meow the "cryin' charlie". I have no idea where that was even derived from or based on... just something gma sam always said when her cat did one.
Seems to be more older cats, it's like their meower wears out or something

It depends on the cat... My cat is awesome. He is very smart, knows how to open doors, he never pukes or pisses on the floor EVER (unlike some dogs i know), he doesnt come up to me and lick my freakin face, he sits with me at the computer all day long and never complains, he only wants outside a few times a day, he is a male cat but he NEVER wanders off, he always is right near the house when he is outside so that he can hear me call out to him... frankly, some of you have seen stupid cats, but my cat is A-W-E-S-O-M-E. He also lies next to me when im sleeping. Oh and he doesnt bark at strangers, he hisses (one-man cat i guess). Some cats are awesome, just give them a chance. And this cat used to be an outside cat, but he makes a wonderful little computer gaming friend. He sits next to the computer and dozes and just watches me play games, its cool.

EDIT -- the only drawback is that he sometimes insists on sitting on my lap. this is a BIG cat, i mean BIG, and he is heavy, so i just make him sit next to me instead. well, maybe 5 minutes on my lap, but any longer and my leg goes to sleep, heh.
