Dated the day after tomorrow (no kidding), there is a new update to the Grimoire site (thanks Thomas). And this is what it says:

GRIMOIRE PREBETA TESTING CONTINUES

I'm about 3/4 through a complete play of the game and have uncovered about 550+ issues to be corrected. It's a lot of stuff. It's actually the most thorough list I've ever generated. I have detailed each and every single issue as I played in a matching document. It makes no sense to send this game to a beta test until I've corrected all of these first. These are the glitches, tweaks and bugs I can see myself before testers even get hold of it.

One nice thing I can say about the game is that I only encountered two critical bugs so far, both of them having to do with pointers to ladders being initialized incorrectly. Otherwise I have played the game without any resort to cheating or fudging. I've not only pursued the primary path in the game but have also looked through many minor subplots and side quests to explore every inch. Grimoire is a friggin' ginormous game. Colossal. Humungous. Monolithic. If this was a camping trip it would be like trying to explore most of North America during a two week period.
Apart from that, the site update also contains a pic and a description of a Medusa.
