How to transform into a Bloodfly

This spell has been removed in Gothic II, probably because it gives an advantage to explore and allowed you to fly over the landscape. I really missed this spell. Anyway, I finally worked out how to do it using Marvin mode.

BmarvinB to go into cheat mode
F2 to bring up console
insert bloodfly
press F2 to remove console
O to occupy bloodfly
press Del for first person view

You can now fly!

You will need to avoid enemies. My first flight was a failure as I was following a seeker to see where he was going and he fireballed me!

Have fun!

The problem when you posses someone/something is that when you return to you normal character they sometimes are gone.
So, if you just wan't to exprore the world you'd better save first and if you're character has gone when you get back load that saved game.

I use F6 to fly now instead, and then you CAN return to normal with F4. If you need to keep above the terrain press A key to rise vertically. Another advantage that I have only just found is that when exploring like this AT NIGHT with the F6 camera you get an automatic torch which gives a whole new experience in the forests. Try it!

And under an inside? What do you mean with that? The little clipping problem you sometimes get with water(that you end up below the survace, still flying)?

Yes, you go straight through things like rock, buildings, doors, barriers, etc. This is what I was trying to avoid by being a Bloodfly which follows the terrain smoothly. So if you use F6 instead and go forward towards a sloping piece of land like in front of the merc camp you would be underground. This is useful if you are looking for hidden rooms but annoying if you want to stay on the surface. Bloodflies are not very good at going over steep rock in Gothic II. I think they were better in Gothic I where you could use a "Transform into a Bloodfly" spell scroll.

WARNING: This completely spoils the game for you so only do this is you have played through already a couple of times.

No you are not really flying. Its somehow imaginary flight. You get far by holding F8.
