| Tribunal - Temple Informant |

I got the quest from the king's guard to find the temple informant. When I go to the temple, I talk to the lady at the infirmary, but I don't get "Journal has been updated" when she tells me about the dissident priests.
Here's the thing: I've already been to the Clockwork city and killed you-know-who. I didn't realize there were separate king's quests until later. Are the king's quests disabled after killing you-know-who? I'm gonna be pissed if so. I never got find out what the hidden office is all about.
On another note, I've also already killed the Dark Brotherhood leader. When I did, it said I should check his room, but there was nothing there. Have I completely screwed up the order of the quests? |

Well, I don't know about the temple informant. Maybe you need to get her disposition higher, and she'll tell you something really incriminating that you can take back to the Royal Guard? Just a guess. Is the quest still shown as active, and what does the quest-giver say about it?
I can help with the leader of the Dark Brotherhood though - that message is an error. What you need to find is the contract marking you for death, which you'll find on his body. Take the contract to the Royal Guard (or I believe the Temple?), and the quest should disappear from your active quest list.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the official site forum, and it looks like this is a bug. Going with the suggestion there, I added the entry in my journal through the console. As for the dark brotherhood, I dread going back there. I think I'll leave it undone. |
