Try talking to the folks outside. The Ashlanders have certain "customs" if you didn't happen to read your notes on them _________________ When at first you don't succeed... cheat |

Just thought I'd add for clarification. Ashkan is a title, a position in the tribe. His name is Sul-Matuul. You can talk to him, but it takes time. And lots of persuading. |

Given where you are, you should have previously gathered information about the Ashlanders. One of their customs is that if you are a stranger you offer a 'thoughtful gift'. That's step numero uno when talking to the tribe members. The first thing you should click on in your list of dialogue options is 'thoughtful gift'. That helps them warm to you. After your reasonably accepted, then you select 'talk' and ask about the Neveranine Prophecies. They'll ask why you want to know. You say because you are the Neveranine. They'll think that's odd, but will have you go talk to the Ashkan's second in command. After you get HIM to accept you, he will let you talk to th Ashkan. Good luck, it took me quite awhile before I got in. |

Did you talk to the wealthy Ashlander trader in Ald'ruhn? He's the one Cassius tells you to go see, find out what he likes (which is Ashlandic books) and buy him a gift. When you take him the gift, he tells you a lot about the Ashlandic culture, including 'thoughtful gifts'. I believe that's the trigger for having it come up in your dialogue options when visiting the tribe. Hope that helps. |

Gee Saphyre, sounds like maybe you're kinda out of sync on the quests. Since you mention the puzzle box, I assume then you're doing the Blades quests (I know some people have opted not to work with the blades.) There's yet another quest you need to do before even going to see the Ashlander in Ald'ruhn (and going to see him has to do with getting more info on the Nereverine cult). You're suppose to Vivec to speak with three different people. One is is corner club in the foriegn district, one is in the library at the Hall of Wisdom, and the other...I don't recall off the top of my head. Anyway, I would say either you need to go back and have a chat with Cassius, or you've got a major glitch happening in your game (quests not being triggered.) |
