Well, my vote goes to Gothic 2. Not entirely unexpected perhaps. It might just be me, but it seems that there were very few good RPG's this year. Even I could keep up with buying all the known titles that have come out, and I don't spend that much on computer games. Lionheart was too linear and outright boring. Temple Of Elemental Evil could have been a great game, but since Daggerfall I've never played a buggier mess. It really annoyed the hell out of me to the point of uninstalling the game. Maybe I'll finish it when the patch comes out.
But I think this voting is a bit premature.. I have high hopes for Deus Ex 2: Invisible War, that's supposed to hit the stores in december!

According to hexy, all people that like Gothic 2 have incredibly bad taste and are complete idiots as it is a bad game. |

well if gothic 2 demo is any indication of the quality of the actual full game than i can say i would find much to enjoy ... gothic was one of the better video games of all time in my opinion .... |

Learn to put up with Hexy. He probably has never gotten into the Gothic games.

Lionheart was the first Black Isle RPG I returned. It was a crushing blow to watch the most promising game of the year, IMO, based on its unique and lavish setting, die a death of mediocrity. Gothic 2 will probably be the best one this year. I received my copy a few days ago, and I look forward exploring Khorinis during the holidays.

My vote has to go to Gothic 2. I have just started, but I can see it is great.

It is too eary to vote yet, since a new game by Warren Spector will be released this year. So far I liked Gothic II most. |
