| Funny things in the gothic series |
|
I found three things very funny in Gothic 2:
1) Ask the mage in the courtyard of the monastery were the church is.
2) Get a sheep from the farmer, kill it, and ask for another one.
3) There are no children in Gothic 3, thats probably because all the husbands and wives sleep in different beds, there isnt a double bed to be found. There is a farm where the farmer says "its a mens farm and no women come here". Look inside and what a suprise, the only double bed in the game!

When you come to Milen and says something like :
Hero : "I've killed all the dragons."
Milten : "You have done it again. It is certain you are favoured by the gods"
Hero : "Who ? Me ?"

Its just weird like the hero woudn't know about who is Milten talking about. 
And maybe when Bullco takes a leak each day at same place even though you (the hero) is standing next to him watching him what he's doing.

I love Greg's response when you tell him that he can pick herbs for Constantino to get into the city:
"You think I'm gonna go around like a sissy picking up weeds and flowers?"... or something like that. They pretty much nailed the humor here in the translation...good job!

how did you come across that dialogue? greg is really funny indeed, and german voice acting is fantastic

This dialogue happens when you first speak to Greg when he's in front of the city gate. When he asks you about helping him get into town, you can tell him about getting herbs for Constantino. But you'll only get this option if you've spoken to Lester about it earlier.

ehe and if u understand pretty good Deutsch then Greg is even more funnyer imo he is the funnyest character i have ever seen in Gothic series i hope we see him in 3 part also pirates are cool |

Damn, I think I'm going to get the german versions. PB themselves seem very satisfied with the voices according to the dev diary. Way back in the Amiga days I remember playing 'Erben der Erde' (Inherit the Earth), an adventure game in 256 colors (wow  hehe). Anyways, I translated every word with a dictionary and since you are always in the same 'theme' in that game world and the PC often comes up with similar questions (like, 'what can yo utell me about..' or 'anything new? ') .. I ended up translating out of my head 50% of the text and needing the dictionary less and less. But it was paiiinnnnfullly slow at the beginning oh yeah.
Problem.. if I went to germany I could read some panels and stuff but I had little idea of how to SPEAK it.
But here we have SPOKEN and subtitles (there are german subtitles right?) so that's perfect for learning german.

In the trench around the castle there is a very dark spot in the ruins where an Orc is hiding with a sheep. I thought that was dodgy... but maybe it was just me

then you can say "so what is there to report?"

It's a really pervert that orc if you ask me, you don't want to know what he does with that sheep when you leave (and doesn't kill him).

yer i found that orc whit the sheep .. for a sec there i thourgth Mud had turned into an orc ..
