Gothic 2: Review @ Thunderbolt

Belgian gaming site Thunderbolt has written an English review of 'Gothic II'. Rating: 8 out of 10 points.

Here's a bit:
Gothic II is set in Khorinis - an island with a capital of the same name - where an army of dragons are rising up to destroy everything in sight. Coincidentally, only you - an unnamed hero - and Xardas - a necromancer - know of this. Unfortunately, Xardas isn't exactly the most popular guy around, so it's up to you to tell the townsfolk in the city. You need to deliver the message to Lord Hagen - leader of the paladins - so that he can send you (he's lazy, see) to save the world. The story isn't exactly simple, with loads of sub-plots and side quests around.

It's a good review, but there's just something about people starting off their reviews with, 'I'm not a big RPG fan but...' it's just a turn off.

Good review except whats the deal with saying the NPCs do the same thing 24/7 and don't react to the day and night environments !! mustn't have been paying attention.

Thanks for the feedback.

It's true, I am no hardcore RPG fan, but Gothic II was so good that I've just bought Morrowind on Xbox.

Someone alerted me to the fact that the NPCs do sleep, but I still think they should do more. Maybe in Gothic 3, eh?

Anyway, enjoy the site and happy gaming!
