| May someone tell me if this is a bug? |
|
I'm at my 18th hour of play, and I was executing the quest to kill the Telvani Agents in the mine next Caldera. After having killed everyone in the cave, I followed the path until the little subterranean lake with chest on the bottom. In the water there are two fishes that attacked me, I killed them, then game said that Long Blade ability has improved.
I looked at the stats...
I swear, it is NOT a trick by me!!!
Any explanation?

Did you make "donations" at any shrines lately? Shrine benefits last several (in-game) days.
But I don't recall any shrines blowing your long blade out of proportion though.

The only time I've seen the long blade or any weapon skill increase above your present skill level is when I cast bound weapon.
My conjuration and weapon skills have not been very high when I cast this spell so the weapon skill has only gone up by 10 points. And the skill points show up in white or a lighter color than the other skill points. |

The only similar experience I had was a bug involving spell time length. I made a bound boots spell with zero time to practice my conjuring skills. After I practiced it about 30 times I had speed of over 300. Zero time never takes the buff down. |

I found a bug with bound weapon spells causing the same sorta effect, if the duration of the bound weapon is 0 the weapon disappears but the skill modifier is permanent.
Maybe it's somewhat related to that? |

I have a bit similar "problem" ...
My short blade got boosted from 5 to 75 at some point.
So my lvl72 Blackblade tried how it works (it's white, so its like its boosted, but nothing says it's boosted...), and it works fine. After some assassinations my shortblade is now 168..., Now if only that would mean something in the game...

Found it!!!! I also have created 3 small "bound" spell with cost 1 and duration 0, 'cos I have bought the 3 bounds (cuirass, shield, longsword) but they are at success chance 16 and I need improving.
I fear that was that...
 feels like cheating, though... |
